Consultation has concluded

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River's Draft Access and Inclusion Plan (AIP) has been developed and we are now calling on community members for comments and feedback.

Through the review and consultation period we have now expanded the Plan to acknowledge that many groups may also experience barriers to access and inclusion, such as people with a disability, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD), Aboriginal people, Seniors, people experiencing financial hardships and others.

The Shire welcomes feedback from all these groups on the Draft Access and Inclusion Plan. The Access and Inclusion Plan aims to ensure that Shire services, buildings and faciltiies are accessible and inclusive to all in our community.

Please find the Draft Access and Inclusion Plan 2018 - 22 under Document Library on the right hand side of this page and the Feedback Form below.

The Draft AIP is available for public comment until Sunday 28 January 2018.

  • CLOSED: This survey has concluded.

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is currently renewing their Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP).

DAIPs assist public authorities to plan and implement improvements to access and inclusion across 7 outcome areas:  services and events, buildings and facilities, information, quality of service, complaints, consultation processes and employment.  These plans benefit people with disability, the elderly, young parents and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

We would appreciate your input on how to make our community more inclusive and accessible for everyone who lives, works and visits here.

Your priorities, needs and ideas will be used to inform and guide our actions. The draft DAIP 2018 - 2022 will be available for comment from mid December 2017.

If you have any questions or would like assistance in completing this survey please contact Katie Taylor, Shire Community Development Officer on 9780 5233.
