The Shire is inviting Expressions of Interest from community members to join the Augusta Townsite Community Working Group (2026–27).

The Working Group will provide local insight and feedback on the design and implementation of projects in the town, including the Augusta Streetscape Plan, Augusta Precinct Plan, Ellis Street Jetty Precinct Plan and others.

  • ​About the Working Group

    The Augusta Townsite Community Working Group will:

    • Provide local insight to support the design and delivery of improvements around the townsite.

    • Help ensure the projects reflect community values and priorities.

    • Contribute to practical and informed decision-making.

    Meetings will be held monthly during the first quarter of the 2026–27 financial year (minimum of three meetings), with the option to continue if needed.

  • ​Who should apply

    We are seeking a diverse range of community members, including:

    • Residents of Augusta

    • Local business owners and operators

    • Property owners

    • Community group representatives

    No technical expertise is required, just a willingness to contribute constructively and consider a range of perspectives.
