This community consultation was open from 5 to 23 June 2017, to review how community facilities should be managed and maintained over the next 20 years.

What is community infrastructure?

Community infrastructure is Council owned or managed buildings providing health and wellbeing, sport and recreation, and community education opportunities for residents, workers and visitors, including those operated by clubs, community organisations or Council contractors.

Examples include:

  • Public parks and gardens
  • Sport, recreation and cultural facilities
  • Community meeting places and halls
  • Community resource centres
