Mental Health and Wellbeing Initiative in AMR

Call for Community Alliance members

You are invited to join a unique Community Alliance to address mental health and wellbeing needs in our community.

The Augusta Margaret River Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Alliance has been formed in response to multiple studies completed over the last year, which have carefully examined what is needed in our community to improve mental health.

This alliance will focus on building greater access, knowledge, services and collaboration for mental health in the community over the next 18 months. This will be done by bringing together key agencies and community members to work in partnership. Read the draft Terms of Reference here.

If you support these aims and are willing to help work to pursue them, then you are invited to apply for appointment as a voluntary member of the Community Alliance.

An interim taskforce has been formed and is comprised of community chairperson Stuart Hicks, Lishman Health Foundation CEO Di Ritson and AMR Shire representative Andrew Ross.

We are calling for nominations from community members to join this unique volunteer group. Membership is limited and will be determined by the interim taskforce to ensure diversity of skill, view and experience in the group. Successful nominees will be required to attend and contribute to monthly meetings.

Please complete the below form before Sunday 20 October 2019. If more information is needed please phone Stacey at 9780 5217 or email <email>.
