The Shire has drafted a new Community, Economic, Environmental and Events Funding Policy. The purpose of this policy is to provide financial support to community, arts and culture, sporting and environmental organisations and individuals.

This applies to all Shire grants, donations and in-kind contributions (including fee waivers) made by the Shire to enhance social, environmental, cultural and economic outcomes. This new policy aligns the Shire’s funding approach with its key strategies and plans.

Councillors endorsed the draft policy at their meeting on 25 November 2020, approving the draft to be shared for community feedback. The new policy will replace: CCSP10 Financial Assistance Policy, GL29 Icon Events Sponsorship and GL20 Donations and Community Grants Policy, and realigns existing funding into funding streams.
