Marmaduke Point Drive Path

CLOSED: This discussion has concluded.

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is carrying out works to construct the expansion of footpath along Marmaduke Point Drive, Gnarabup. The project includes the construction of approximately 310 metres of concrete path and multiple cross-overs as per accompanying Concept Footpath Plan.

At the location of each private crossover, the path shall be constructed from reinforced concrete in accordance with the approved design drawings. The contractor will allow for each crossover to be adjusted and reinstated to meet the new path level and shall ensure vehicles can enter and exit safely. During construction of crossovers, access to driveways will be impacted for a minimum of 24 hours, please consider parking elsewhere.

These works are programmed to commence Monday 18 February 2019 and it is anticipated that works will take approximately 1 week to complete (weather permitting). During works, individual property access may be affected. The Shire’s Works Coordinator will contact residents, where necessary, to discuss issues and make alternative arrangements prior to individual access being affected. During construction works, traffic management will be in place and some delays are likely. The Shire will endeavour to avoid lengthy delays.

Should you have further enquiries regarding these works, please contact the Shire’s Works Coordinator, Mr Peter Brophy – 08 9780 5650 or email: pbrophy@amrshire.wa.gov.au
