Update: Margaret River Main Street Redevelopment Project - Expression of Interest to be included on a Local Suppliers and Contractors Construction Phase Panel

The redevelopment of the Margaret River Main Street is a significant project, which will foster a vibrant town centre for both residents and tourists. Construction work for the project is due to begin in early 2019 with project completion slated for early 2020.

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River, together with the South West Development Commission, is keen to see local suppliers and contractors involved in delivering the project.

“We encourage local suppliers and contractors to submit Expressions of Interest for a range of services, including civil and landscape and electrical works,” said Gary Evershed CEO of AMRS. Every company that submits an EOI will have that information included in the Local Trades Directory provided to the major tender bidders.”

The Main Street Redevelopment project includes the following works: demolition and earthworks, drainage, lighting and electrical works, new pedestrian paving and kerbing, signage and line marking, traffic management, landscaping and street furniture.

Construction is planned to be undertaken in 2 stages, Stage 1 February – May 2019, Stage 2 September- December 2019.

To access an expression of interest response form, click here to download the information package. Expressions are to be lodged electronically to amrshire@amrshire.wa.gov.au or post to PO Box 61, Margaret River 6285. Expressions must be received by the Shire before 5pm, Friday 20 July 2018.

The submission of an expression of interest does not guarantee engagement in the construction of the Margaret River Main Street Redevelopment Project.

There are a range of State and Federal Government financial assistance and advisory programs available to support small to medium sized businesses and help them build capacity and capability to compete for Government supply opportunities, including as sub-contractors on Government contracts. More information is available at https://industrylink.wa.gov.au/advisory-services/services-to-businesses-sub-contractors/advice-programs-to-build-capability

The Margaret River Main Street Redevelopment Project is funded through the South West Development Commission and supported by Royalties for Regions.
