Draft Margaret River Protection Strategy - available for community comment

Nature Conservation Margaret River Region and the Shire ofAugusta Margaret River are jointly releasing a Draft Margaret River ProtectionStrategy for community comment.

The Draft Margaret River Protection Strategy provides anoverarching blueprint for protecting the ecological health of theMargaret River into the future. Nature Conservation and the Shire havepartnered on the development of the Draft Strategy supported by the recentlyformed Margaret River Collaborative Management Group including local Wadandicustodians and a raft of government agencies with responsibility for managementof the river.

The Shire and Nature Conservation urges members of theMargaret River community to read the Draft Strategy and provide their commentsover the coming weeks. Comments close on 12 October 2018 and should be sent to info@nature.conservation.org.au
