We’d love your feedback in prep to launch our new weekly email newsletter!
We’re proposing to call the newsletter ‘Leeuwin Current’. Naming it will allow subscribers to easily identify it in inboxes and help us promote it as a way for people to stay informed about things happening around our Shire.
The name Leeuwin Current has local relevance – it’s the warm current that hugs our coastline and reflects our unique place. The word ‘current’ also references current news 😉

Lots of residents aren’t on social media and/or don’t read the paper, but want to receive info via email. We want to make sure people have equal access to info via their preferred channel.
Sending out content via email will help communicate all the good stuff being done to serve our community, in an easy-to-read format. We’ve built an automated and efficient way for the Comms team to compile a weekly eNews feed. Any news, events, Your Say projects or public notices content published to our website over the week is automatically laid out in an easy-to-read, digestible format.
