The Shire is working on a new Strategic Community Plan! This is the guiding blueprint for our strategic focus and it needs your help.

Your experience both as an employee and resident is valuable and can help improve the way in which the Shire supports the community's aspirations. Staff feedback will help inform the broader trends that impact the community's wellbeing and our own organisational ability to respond.

You might notice the year 2035 doesn't follow neatly on from the previous two plans (SCP 2036 and SCP 2040) - this is because we're bringing the focus in from a 20-year plan to a 10-year plan. We're going back to the future!

  • The development of the next Strategic Community Plan requires understanding the community's vision and aspirations, as well as the Shire's capacity to deliver. It also needs to consider broader trends   that may impact the community, to help us predict and plan for the changing environment and guide us closer to the community's aspiration.           

    Involving your team could be a great way to cement a shared understanding of the importance of your work and the upcoming challenges and opportunities you envision.
