Consultation has concluded

Council considered the results of this community consultation on 9 November 2016 and resolved:

That Council: 1. Notes the general support for floating rafts within the Shire. 2. Undertakes detailed investigations to determine the feasibility of installing swim rafts at the Hardy Inlet near Turner Caravan Park and the Southern Ocean near Flinders Bay.

The next step is to assess in detail the two Augusta sites and if either site meets safety requirements, determine what approvals are required and then seek to progress installation. Read this Council report here.
