Witchcliffe Main Street – RAC ReconnectWA Grant Recipient

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is partnering with RAC through its Reconnect WA initiative to trial some components of the proposed Witchcliffe main street upgrade, from March to October 2023.

The project seeks to support a vibrant town centre that provides for pedestrian and bike rider access and encourages people to spend time in the village, whilst retaining and promoting Witchcliffe’s unique character.

Witchcliffe locals are encouraged to be a part of the design, planning and implementation of the temporary changes to the Main Street.

Project elements that could be included from the Witchcliffe Streetscape Plan include a main street crossing location, town centre parkland revitalisation, playable seating, landscaping, public art and lighting.

The Witchcliffe Main Street Activation is being delivered in partnership with RAC, through its Reconnect WA initiative, which aims to create vibrant streets and public spaces for Western Australians to interact and connect with each other.

All Witchcliffe residents interested in being a part of the project are encouraged to attend a community workshop on Tuesday 14 March.
