Schedule of works

Construction of a new shared path along Duggan Drive, Cowaramup commenced in Thursday 4 December 2025.

To minimise disruption to Cowaramup Primary School, works were completed during the school holidays.

The path was constructed in two stages:
Stage 1. Western portion began 4 December and was completed by 23 December 2025.
Stage 2. Eastern portion began works 5 January 2026 and was completed by XXXXXXXXXX

Stage 1 – scheduled to begin on 4 December 2025

Stage 2 - scheduled to start from 5 January 2026

This project is jointly funded by the State Government and the Shire as a part of the WA Bicycle Network Grants Program.

Duggan Drive was identified as a gap in our path network in the Shire's 2016 Pathway Plan. The new path will provide a link between Symphony Waters and Cowaramup Primary School.

Since that time, the visitation and population has grown and so greater priorities for Cowaramup have been identified through the Cowaramup Integrated Transport Strategy (ITS).

We are working with local volunteers in the Cowaramup Transport Working Group to reassess pathway priorities, which will guide future investment in the area.

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is also preparing a new pathway plan.
