Landscaping on the Augusta Main Street

We have been working with community leaders to develop a landscaping plan for the Augusta Main Street. This will provide practical and sustainable native plantings along the main street, to create a more welcoming and accessible place for all.

The plan has been developed with the following considerations:

  • There is limited water access along the Augusta Main street for reticulation and so the plan features carefully selected waterwise flowering natives
  • Much of the paved areas along main street falls under private property and the proposed garden beds have been identified on Shire land
  • The proposed changes are mindful of crossing points and safety requirements for pedestrians and drivers.

View the plan here, and have your say by completing the short survey below before Sunday 5 July 2020.
