See below the fabulous range of activities and events available for youth within the Shire of Augusta Margaret River for 2018, follow the Youth Advisory Council's activity and amazing opportunities for local youth aged 12 to 25!



The Shire aims to promote and strengthen community based youth activities, in order to offer youth in the community the ability to take part in different workshops which expand their skills and interests as well as strengthen the relationship between youth, community and the Shire.

    Get ready for the official launch of the Margaret River Youth Precinct on the 3rd of June! Come along for an evening jam pack with fun adventure and art activities, live music by upcoming local and Fremantle based artists, skate competitions with tones of awesome prizes and giveaways, grab dinner in the food van alley and see special guest, all the way from the USA, Martin Luther King III!



    Get ready for the official launch of the Margaret River Youth Precinct on the 3rd of June!   • Drug Aware Live Urban Art Competition

    Showcase your artistic talent at the Drug Aware Chillout Zone of the Margaret River Pro!

    Drug Aware along with Surfing WA are screening the Margaret River Pro live at Reuther Park for the duration of the competition.

    On Sunday the 15th April, Drug Aware and the Shire of Murray are hosting a Live Urban Art competition giving 4 local artists the opportunity to create an art piece live in front of locals and win the chance to create a permanent piece on the Margaret River Youth Precinct Zone Room!

  • YAC Cave Experience

    On Friday January 18 1.00pm-5.00pm, Cape to Cape Explorers will be taking local youth on a adventure within our region.

    Youth will have the opportunity to take short hike on one of the most scenic stretches of the Cape to Cape Track, before heading off to Giants Cave for a tour and activities.

    Youth will need to wear enclosed footwear, water and also a jumper as the caves can get quite cold.

  • Nannup Family Fun Day

    The Nannup Family Fun Day is taking place on 23 January. The Shire will be taking a bus to Nannup for youth aged 12-16.

    On the day there is a great range of activities and fun. Climbing wall, high ropes course, giant water slide, laser Tag, misting tent, art/craft activities, entertainment, water fun, and lots more.

    The cost is $10, and includes lunch.

    To reserve your spot on the bus, please contact Callum Noone at cnoone@amrshire.wa.gov.au to recieve a permision slip.

    The Nannup Family Fun Day is taking place on 23 January. The Shire will be taking a bus to Nannup for youth aged 12-16.

    The Shire is offering youth aged 12-18 an opportunity for a free busrides to Rivermouth every Wednesday from 9-24 January.

    The bus will be departing the Recreation Centre at 10am for Rivermouth, and departing Rivermouth at 2pm.

    These school holidays, The Village at Margs, is running various activites and workshops.

    Meet Santa will being taking place from the 16-23 December, from 10.00am-2.00pm.

    Christmas art activites will be held over 19-22 December from 12.00pm-2.00pm.

    The first set of art activites will take place from the 15-17 January.
    The second set will be taking place rom 22-24 January.

    All workshops are taking place from 12.00pm til 2.00pm.
