Wooditjup Bilya Precinct Community Plan

The Wooditjup Bilya (Margaret River) Precinct Community Plan is now publicly available following Council endorsement on 14 June 2023.

This project is an outcome of the Margaret River Precinct Plan. The Precinct Plan was prepared to provide the community and the Shire with a clear understanding of where resources, priorities and energies are to be directed for future development and management of the Margaret River Precinct over the next ten years.

The Wooditjup Bilya (Margaret River) Precinct Community Plan will inform renewal of infrastructure, landscape and environmental works within Rotary Park and The Old Settlement. This plan also sets out modest upgrades and expansion works that will be undertaken if or when funding becomes available.

Renewal components within the Plan include:

Rotary Park

• Public toilets
• Playspace
• Park furniture
• Retaining walls
• Pedestrian access
• Landscaping, stormwater management and revegetation

Old Settlement

• Carpark
• Pedestrian access
• Landscaping, weed control, stormwater management and revegetation

Feedback on the draft Wooditjup Bilya Community Plan closed at 5pm on Friday, 28 April 2023.
